AHLS for Toxic Terrorism: Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Casualties is a 4-hour course, derived from the AHLS Provider Course.

Participants learn to medically manage patients exposed to hazardous materials by recognizing the signs and symptoms. 

The course consists of didactic lectures and tabletop exercises. No exams or prerequisites are required.

Participants of AHLS for Toxic Terrorism will be able to:

  • Rapidly assess toxic terrorism patients
  • Recognize toxic syndromes (toxidromes)
  • Identify and administer specific antidotes, antibiotics, and vaccines for toxic terrorism patients
  • Apply the Poisoning Treatment Paradigm™
