Advanced HAZMAT Life Support (AHLS) is the most comprehensive training program to provide the critical skills needed to treat victims exposed to toxic substances.

Join the more than 15,000 physicians, nurses, paramedics, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals from 64 countries, and become an AHLS verified Provider to be ready to face the medical challenges of hazmat incidents, such as chemical spills or toxic terrorism. Continuing Education credits are available to AHLS participants through AMA, ACPE, ACEP and CECBEMS.

In the United States, training funds from FEMA's National Training and Education Division (NTED) can possibly be used to host or attend an AHLS course. Contact your state's Homeland Security Director for more information.  Learn more about using your FEMA National Training and Education Division funding for AHLS.

Verified AHLS Instructors can apply to bring AHLS to their organizations.  AHLS staff will help you through every step of the process. Learn more about hosting a course.

Our Co-sponsor is the The American Academy of Clinical Toxicology (AACT), an international multi-disciplinary organization with the goal of advancing the diagnosis and treatment of poisonings. AACT members are on the AHLS Scientific Advisory Committee and AHLS Administrative Policy Committee.
