AHLS Continuing Education Credit - Only provided for courses in the United States

Provider/Instructor Course

The University of Arizona College of Medicine at the Arizona Health Sciences Center is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The University of Arizona College of Medicine at the Arizona Health Sciences Center designates this educational activity for a maximum of 30.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s) (tm) (8.0 Study Material & 16.25 Provider Course; and 6.5 Instructor Course). Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

ACPE The University of Arizona College of Pharmacy is approved by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education. as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. Those reading the course manuals, successfully completing pre- and post-tests (80% accuracy), attending all sessions, and completing the evaluation will be awarded full credit. AHLS Provider Course is awarded 24 contact hours ACPE universal program number 003-999-03-051-C04. AHLS Instructor Course is awarded 7.5 contact hours ACPE universal program number 003-999-03-052-C04.

This continuing educational activity is approved by the Continuing Education Coordinating Board for Emergency Medicine Services (CECBEMS) for 16.25 hours of advanced and 6.5 hours of educator continuing medical education. CECBEMS is an organization established to develop and implement policies to standardize the review and approval of EMS continuing education activities. The sponsoring organizations of CECBEMS are the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians, the American College of Emergency Physicians, National Association of Emergency Medical Services Physicians, National Association of State Emergency Medical Services Officials, National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians, and the American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians.

Presentations have been approved by The American College of Emergency Physicians for a maximum of 15 total Provider, 5.5 total Instructor, 20.5 for Provider and instructor credits per week of ACEP Category I credit.
